Frequently Asked Questions :

Where has Tracey previously served God?

The University College of St Mark of St John, St Saviours (Brockenhurst, New Forest), St Luke's Sway (New Forest), St Saviour's, with St Barnabas and St John's (Iford/Boscombe East and Holdenhurst in Bournemouth), The Royal Army Chaplains Department, St Peter and St Paul's (Ospringe) and St Mary Magdalene (Davington). She currently runs Active Church at Egerton CE Primary School.

Where and what did she study?

An MPhil and BA (hons) at Trinity College, Bristol, after having been trained to be a teacher at The University College of St Mark of St John, where she picked up a BEd (hons).

Has she only ever worked in Christian work?

No, she's spent a fair amount of time doing other things - such as working in retail, in a pub, as a care-assistant and most recently as a stay at home mum. From becoming a Christian at 21 years, Tracey did find herself in 'Christian work' for 22 years, so she is really enjoying being a 'Christian' and discovering what it means to be a disciple without being paid to do it!

Is she sound?

If you mean, is she a Bible-believing evangelical Christian, yes – however on the theme of 'sound', you may need to turn her microphone down as she does have a voice which can carry!

Does she do outside speaking and what would she bring by coming to speak at my organisation?

She would bring passion for the gospel and a desire for us to live the life which God intends for us all. She is refreshingly honest and 'real' as she 'wrestles' with all things.

What books does she read?

Chick lit for relaxing at the end of the day. At all other times, anything written by people who love God. She is just as likely to be reading Jon Ortberg, Dallas Willard, Richard Foster, A.W Tozer as at the same time dipping into St Augustine, The Philokalia and Bonhoeffer.

What does she get up to in her spare time?

Writing, reading, running Active Church, supporting her husband and spending as much time as possible with her son takes up most of her time, but you may find her on a golf course or helping out at Brissenden Vineyard, East Sutton, Kent.

What next?

Before submitting 'Forever wrestling...a glorious invitation' to a publisher, she scribbled two other rough drafts. One of these is being revived into something readable. 'Forever wrestling...becoming more aware of God's Presence', will hopefully see the light of day within the year. Tracey foresees this book as a gift to people who have not had the time or inclination to read dozens of books by people who have written about living in God's Presence. With her own informal style she longs to share what is to live on a day to day basis with God. Tracey has lots of other ideas to write but just needs the time to sit down and commit them to paper.
